Why node count matters
Every node in a vector path is a point where your laser or plotter changes direction. Excess nodes mean micro-stutters, slower cut speeds, and rougher edges on engraved text. Single Line Fonts from Pathhaus are pre-optimized — typically 60–80% fewer nodes than converted TTF outlines.
Laser preset

Cricut preset
ε = 10 units
